You’ll be heading to the world heritage listed Fraser Island to learn to master a four wheel drive, explore the beautiful island, and enjoy some well-deserved down time.
Being able to handle a 4WD out on the open road is the ultimate power move. It gives you the freedom to explore past the limits of tricky terrain and indulge your adventurous side. The idea that bulky cars are a man’s domain is outdated, so this weekend is just for women who want to get behind the wheel.
You’ll be heading to the world heritage listed Fraser Island to learn to master a four wheel drive, explore the beautiful island, and enjoy some well-deserved down time. After a scenic barge trip from Hervey Bay across the Great Sandy Straits, you’ll jump into a 4WD and get started on an exclusive, purpose built training track. In your small ladies-only group training you’ll learn and practice skills to prepare you for your own off-road adventures.
Once you’ve skilled up you can experience the real excitement of taking on a rougher ride as you head out on a self-driven exploration of Fraser Island. Taking control and conquering the world’s biggest sand island in the 4WD driver’s seat is a thrill and a victory.
Over your girls’ weekend you’ll visit the famous Lake McKenzie, Central Station, iconic Eli Creek, Maheno Shipwreck, Coloured Sands and secluded locations that are inaccessible to less adventurous drivers. Make sure to bring your swimmers. You’ll be staying at the famous Kingfisher Bay Resort and Eurong Beach Resort and treated to breakfast, generous welcome cheese platters and drinks, resort dinners, plus a fresh picnic lunch to keep you going out on the road. It’s the perfect balance of luxury and hands-on adventure for a memorable (and useful) weekend.
