You’ll learn the ropes of a keeper’s daily tasks and the daily operations of the park, help feed the animals, conduct health checks, and get the enclosures ready. Just one hour outside of South Australia’s capital city Adelaide, Monarto Safari Park sits at cusp of the beautiful Murraylands region. It is the largest safari experience that exists outside of Africa and is home to one of Australia’s largest lion prides and giraffe herds. You can actually fit every major zoo in Australia within the Monarto Safari Park, and still have land to spare.
With open-range general admission you can explore the park on foot if you’re feeling energetic (there are 10km of walking tracks ranging from easy to medium difficulty), or you can hop on and off the Zu-loop bus to get around the open-range exhibits and viewing platforms. There are free guided walks and keeper talks throughout the day you can tag along to as well.
