For the ultimate zoo experience, go on safari just outside of Adelaide! Spend the day exploring Monarto Safari Park - an open range sanctuary sprawling over 1,500 hectares and home to more than 50 different exotic and native species.
Just one hour outside of South Australia’s capital city Adelaide, Monarto Safari Park sits at cusp of the beautiful Murraylands region. It is the largest safari experience that exists outside of Africa and is home to one of Australia’s largest lion prides and giraffe herds. You can actually fit every major zoo in Australia within the Monarto Safari Park, and still have land to spare.
With open-range general admission you can explore the park on foot if you’re feeling energetic (there are 10km of walking tracks ranging from easy to medium difficulty), or you can hop on and off the Zu-loop bus to get around the open-range exhibits and viewing platforms. There are free guided walks and keeper talks throughout the day you can tag along to as well.
This is an epic wildlife adventure unlike anything else in Australia, and it’s something you need to experience for yourself.
