Competition Terms & Conditions

By entering the competition, you accept these terms and conditions. 

Entry is only open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over except employees and their immediate families of Adrenaline Pty Ltd ABN 13 117 402 838 (Adrenaline) and the agencies or companies providing the prizes or otherwise associated with the competition. 

The competition starts at 9:00 AM (AEST) on Tuesday 30 October 2018 and closes at 11:59 PM (AEST) on Friday 30th November 2018 (Competition Period). 

To enter, during the Competition Period, answer the question and subscribe to the Adrenaline newsletter and provide your details (including name, email address and postcode). By entering this competition you consent to Adrenaline also contacting you from time to time in connection with promotional offers and other competitions. If you no longer wish to receive Adrenaline’s publications, you may remove your details from the subscriptions list by clicking on the ‘unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of the associated email. 

All valid entries will be entered into the competition. Adrenaline accepts no responsibility for late, lost, incomplete, delayed, corrupted or misdirected entries whether due to error, omission, alteration, deletion, destruction, transmission interruption, communications failure or otherwise. 

This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winner/s. Each valid entry will be individually judged on the basis of literary and creative merit. The judges’ decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. 

In consideration for awarding the prize to the winner, the winner agrees to participate in any promotional activity regarding winning the prize and consents to their name and image being used in promotional material. 

The best valid entry as determined by the judges will win an Adrenaline Gift Voucher for 2 people to skydive in their state of residence.

The winner will be notified via email. If your contact details change during the Competition Period, it is your responsibility to notify Adrenaline. 

Prizes are not exchangeable or transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. 

Adrenaline may request winners to provide proof of identity and proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of Adrenaline. 

The winner will be required to sign the standard Assumption of Risk / Disclaimer form required by Adrenaline in order to participate in activities. Such adventure experiences are by their nature potentially dangerous and by accepting any such prize the prize winner acknowledges such risk and agrees to voluntarily assume such risk. 

The prize must be claimed within 3 months of the competition close date otherwise the winner will forfeit the prize.

To the full extent permitted by law Adrenaline, its officers, employees, contractors and agents will not be liable for any loss (including without limitation, indirect, consequential or indirect loss), cost or damage, personal injury or death which is suffered (whether due to the negligence of any person, including Adrenaline, or otherwise) in connection with entering the competition or using the prize. 

In relation to this prize, Adrenaline excludes the application of the provisions of the Australian Consumer Law contained in Subdivision B of Division 1 of Part 3-2, in respect of liability for: 

(a) death; or 

(b) a physical or mental injury of an individual (including the aggravation, acceleration or recurrence of such an injury of the individual); or 

(c) the contraction, aggravation or acceleration of a disease of an individual; or 

(d) the coming into existence, the aggravation, acceleration or recurrence of any other condition, circumstance, occurrence, activity, form of behaviour, course of conduct or state of affairs in relation to an individual that is or may be harmful or disadvantageous to the individual or community or that may result in harm or disadvantage to the individual or community. 

In this document "Australian Consumer Law" has the meaning given under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth). 

Nothing in this document will exclude, restrict or modify any right a person may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other legislation which under such laws cannot be excluded, restricted or modified. 

Adrenaline accepts no responsibility for the tax implications from prize winnings. 

The personal information you provide will be used by Adrenaline, and may be disclosed to its agents, to conduct the competition. You consent to such use, storage and disclosure. 

Any person invited by the prize winner to share in the prize as their accompanying guest and who elects to take up this part of the prize does so on the basis that he or she also accepts these terms and conditions. 

These terms and conditions are governed by and will be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New South Wales and the prize winner and Adrenaline submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of such state. 

The promoter of the competition is Adrenaline Pty Ltd, ABN 13 117 402 838, 20 Burton Street Darlinghurst NSW 2010.
