1. Experience the wonders of Uluru on a Harley

Seeing Uluru is a bucket list favourite in its own right, so a Harley Davidson passenger ride at sunrise or sunset just takes things to a whole new level of excitement. Your expert guide will take you to all the best spots, so you can hear the roar of the engine and soak up amazing views of this breathtaking natural spectacle.

2. Head on a Great Ocean Road adventure

The Great Ocean Road is one of the world’s most scenic drives and a real must-see for adventure lovers in Australia, with spectacular sights like the Twelve Apostles along the way. Get active with a full day Great Ocean Road tour from Melbourne, plus a hike through the Great Otway National Park, or see things from a whole new angle with a skydive.

3. Sleep overnight on the Great Barrier Reef

You knew you could cruise it, snorkel and dive it, but did you know you can also stay overnight on the Great Barrier Reef? It’s true! After an action-packed day of activities, you can head to bed in a comfy swag on a purpose-built pontoon under a sky full of stars. This luxury cruise even comes with meals and refreshments included.

4. Swim with whale sharks in Exmouth

Head to Ningaloo Reef, Western Australia for the snorkelling adventure of a lifetime –a swim with whale sharks. The knowledgeable crew will take you to all the best spots on this beautiful reef, so as well as these gentle giants you should also look out for turtles, manta rays, dugongs and more as you go.

5. Ride the steepest passenger train in the world

Head to Scenic World, Blue Mountains, to ride the world’s steepest passenger railway. This short but incredible ride takes you down to the rainforest floor, where you can take a walk along the Scenic Walkway. Keep the adrenaline pumping with a ride between the clifftops on the Scenic Skyway cable car, giving you the best views of magnificent natural wonders like the Three Sisters.

6. Go canyoning down a waterfall

Some of us love admiring cliffs and waterfalls from a distance and others imagine what it would be like to climb them and scale them. Wonder no longer! Go canyoning and you can find out. These awesome, active adventures will see you abseiling, walking, wading, swimming, jumping and sliding through some of Australia’s most impressive scenery with no previous experience needed.

7. Quad bike the sand dunes

For many visitors to Port Stephens, sand dunes are one of the main attractions. So, it’s well worth making the visit to this beautiful part of New South Wales, just a couple of hours north of Sydney, to see Stockton Sand Dunes. Hop on a quad bike adventure and rev your way across dunes up to 30m high and you might just feel like you’re on another planet.

8. Fish off the back of a jet ski

For a fishing trip with an added sense of adventure, look no further. Jump on this fully equipped Seadoo Fish Pro jet ski and head on a self-guided tour to some incredible fishing spots. With Bluetooth speakers, a fish finder, GPS, 360-degree fishing seat, troll mode, rod holders and Gunwale Footrests for reeling in a big catch, it’s an experience not to miss.

9. Take to the track in a Radical Race Car

Strap in for a race car driving experience that feels very much like the real deal. Take the wheel of a Radical race car (one of the fastest production cars in the world) and you’ll be blown away by the speed, cornering ability and slick gear changes. A pro racing driver will sit beside you to guide you as you experience speeds of up to 230km/h.

10. Take a dip with Australia’s marine predators

We said these experiences would get you out of your comfort zone! Head to Darwin’s Crocosaurus Cove for an up-close and personal encounter with a gigantic saltwater croc. Don’t worry, you’ll be perfectly safe inside the Cage of Death, but this unique viewing perspective is sure to get your blood pumping.

Or (consider this 11th experience as a bonus!) you can swim with sharks at locations across Australia. Both are sure to be one of the adventures of a lifetime, for those brave enough to try them.
