What you can expect
Abseiling in the Glasshouse Mountains is a great adventure. You will experience a whole day out and a variety of different cliffs that are all close to the walking trail. These weathered volcanic plugs are steeped in Aboriginal legend.
You start the day with a safety briefing then hike up to the 25 metre cliffs. After plenty of abseils off the 2 metre cliffs, you'll move to the final abseil of 45 metres. By progressively moving to more challenging abseils throughout the day, you will have plenty of opportunities to work on improving and refining your abseiling technique.
The Glasshouse Mountains offer a spectacular abseiling location, surrounded by jagged volcanic peaks. These towering peaks rise above pine plantations, eucalypt forests, and open fields, providing panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.

Terms And Conditions
- Minimum age is eight years
- An average level of fitness is recommended
- Please advise any medical conditions that may be relevant, for example, asthma, epilepsy
- Participants under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult and a parent/guardian who will be required to sign the indemnity form
- This experience is unsuitable for those who are pregnant

This was an amazing experience. I tried the abseiling and rock climbing on the same weekend. Both guides were fantastic and showed great professionalism.
