Experience first hand the thrill of flight in a famous World War Two fighter and Australia’s fastest Piston engine aircraft.

Before strapping in, your experience begins with an overview of the Yak-3, an in depth briefing covering the flight followed by a detailed overview on safety. Then it’s off to the apron for a personal introduction to our beautiful Yak-3. Once securely strapped in, we taxi out for takeoff. After a final takeoff briefing, we ease the throttle forward and let you experience the roar of our 14 cylinder Pratt & Whitney R-2000 engine.

Now the adventure really begins. The first objective is a high-speed attack run towards the Lake Wyaralong area with a simulation of low level strafing – you will experience the thrill of being low and fast in a World War Two fighter.

We’ll then move to some classic fighter manoeuvres - combat aileron rolls, barrel rolls, and loops. We’ll pull G’s as we twist and turn to show you the true agility of this legendary aircraft. (Please note the aerobatic section of this flight is optional and can be substituted for some glorious straight and level flight). It’s then back to Archerfield where, we will ask approval for a classic fighter "buzz and break" manoeuvre prior to approach and landing.

After the flight, we’ll debrief and you will have the opportunity to discuss your flight, and most importantly get some photographs with the aircraft and your guests. If a USB was purchased on the day, you will also be shown your experience footage from the flight, while it downloads.

This is truly a fantastic experience and a perfect gift idea for aviation fans and something unique for that special someone. Mission Area: Lake Wyaralong.

One 25 minute Warbird Adventure from engine start to stop, including 15 minutes from take off to landing. Allow one hour for your total experience allowing for briefing and preflight, photo opportunities, de-brief and footage transfer if purchased. Flight upgrades are available on the day should you wish to extend your flight time.
