    Go deep into the rainforest and discover the excitement of a canyoning adventure in Cairns. You'll be picked up from Cairns and explore the stunning Behana Gorge waterfalls or Crystal Cascades as you cliff jump, swim, rock slide, trek and abseil through the canyon and rainforest. This is a tour where you can overcome your fears and experience true adventure in a fun, exciting and safe way. You’ll be taking a refreshing swim in warm FNQ waters within the World Heritage Rainforest and if your lucky, you may see some of the endemi wildlife of the Tropics.  

    Behana Canyon (usually 12 noon – daily) 

    Surrounded by lush green rainforest & granite formations Behana is a wide-open space with its main feature being a series of waterfalls coming together into a bowl… Your qualified tour guide will take you through on an adventure, the best thing about Behana Canyon experience is that everything on this course is optional & each of our guests can make the choices of what they’d like to do without it affecting the other people in their groups – this makes it ideal for families or those a little nervous or first time canyoners whilst still catering to those more intermediate/advanced levels. 

    Crystal Canyon (usually 6:30am – daily) 

    One of the most popular Waterfalls in the Cairns Region is the beautiful Crystal Cascades, surrounded by tropical rainforest, with a 2km track passing through of many water pools. Cairns Canyoning offers a whole other level of experience to explore these waterfalls through our water courses… Enjoy a 30 metre zipline into the refreshing pool, an abseil down & through one of the waterfalls itself, jumps, slides, abseils, a chance to appreciate nature in a different style of adventure.

    Fitness and Experience

    • Fitness Levels: We accept your challenge to cater to everyone’s pace, size & ability.
    • Swimming Levels: Guests need to have a very basic level of confidence to manovere in the water.
    • Suitable for kids and first time canyoners
    • Minimum age is 8 years
    • Maximum participant weight is 125kg
    • Please advise diet requirements, allergies, surgeries, impairments, or disabilities that may affect your level of enjoyment on the day & so we can best cater to you.
    • Pregnancy: Strongly not recommended during any stage of your pregnancy.
    • A liability release form must be completed - any persons under 18 years of age will need this signed by a parent or legal guardian
    • A medical declaration form must be completed - Any serious medical condition or history may disallow you from participating in the tour

    What to Bring/Wear

    • In winter warm clothes, dry change of clothes & jumper

    • You will be booked into either Crystal Canyon or Behana Canyon experience based on numbers, weather, availability, and we do not guarantee locations til minimum numbers have been met.

    • This tour is subject to a minimum of 4 guests in order to guarantee its departure, in the unlikely event the supplier needs to cancel or reschedule due to weather or minimum numbers, you will be contacted by 6pm the day before.
    • Standard experience takes around 4.5hrs. Please allow up to 5hrs for the whole experience from start to finish, every day is a little different, depends on weather and road conditions etc.
