Cruise along the iconic Murray River for 2 nights and 3 days - with all meals and 36 holes of golf included.
The Murray is Australia’s longest – and perhaps most scenic – river. As one of the world's longest navigable rivers, it runs an impressive 2,700 kilometres. This is your chance to cruise the great river in style.
Paddlesteamer Emmylou will be your home – and your transport for three days. A traditional paddle steamer with plenty of charm, she’s driven by a lovingly-restored engine (thanks to 1906). On board, time feels slower somehow, as you listen to the paddling wheels cut their way through the water, and feel the warmth as the engineer feeds the boiler red gum logs. You’re welcome, too, to climb up to the wheelhouse and spin a yarn with the skipper. Or, try your hand at steering the steamer! Take it easy, sit back and watch the world slide by, marked only by the occasional hoot of the whistle.
To stretch your legs, you’re invited to 32 holes at Rich River Golf Club Resort – the best course in the region. Each of their two Championship golf courses are immaculate, stretching to 6,227 metres, and playing to a par of 72 – the stuff a golfer’s dreams are made of. Think elevated greens and tree-lined fairways, elevated greens and, of course, water that comes into play.
During your stay, you’ll enjoy a delicious three meals a day. And, in the evening, a glass of rose and the golden hues of the sunset while you listen to the local river birds wish you goodnight. For those who are not quite ready for bed, be warmed by a campfire on the banks of the mighty Murray.
All are welcome
