    Your defensive driving course will take place at Baskerville Raceway, kicking off with classroom-style learning to give you the knowledge you need to take on the road as safely as possible. Then after lunch you’ll take your cars out onto the track and work closely with experienced and qualified instructors on practical training. The hands-on portion of the day will train you in crucial things like emergency stops and hazard avoidance, all in the safety of a controlled environment. 

    These practical components are designed to teach you low-risk driving skills that can reduce incidents, and they are flexible to match each drivers’ experience level and vehicle type. They can also be catered specifically for normal city driving, country driving or gravel roads.

    Some of the key areas that will be covered in your full day defensive driving course include:

    • Vehicle safety systems, understanding ABS and vehicle stability systems

  • Experience Details

    Fitness and Experience

    • Participants must have at least a P plate license
    • This course is suitable for all passenger vehicles, from a 4WD to small commercial vehicles and any others

    What to Bring/Wear

    • Drivers must attend with a vehicle - however two drivers can share the same vehicle on the day (both must register and pay)

    What is Supplied

    • Defensive driving theory session (approx. 9am to 12pm)
    • Practical defensive driving session (approx 12:30pm to 4pm approx.), which includes emergency braking practice at various speeds, hazard avoidance at various speed and general vehicle handling

    • Spectators are welcome to attend and watch from the safe viewing areas
    • Performance Driving Australia Defensive Driving Courses help fulfil employers requirements outlined in WHS regulations for companies who have employees on the road
    • Simulators and skid-cars are not representative of real life situations and are not used on any courses
    • This is a full day experience from 9am to around 3pm
