Our Defensive Driving Program cover both the nitty-gritty theory stuff and hands-on practical skills for dealing with everyday driving situations. During the program, drivers get to see first-hand how speed affects braking distances and learn how to dodge potential road hazards like a pro. Our theory session is pretty laid-back, designed to get everyone involved. We throw in a written assessment to keep things interesting - want a statement for attainment for unit RIIVEH201 - let us know, there is an additional fee. Here's the lowdown on what we cover: Task Planning Driver Attitude and Behavior Vehicle Systems Identifying and Managing Risks Vehicle Checks and Safety Low-Risk Driving Techniques What Causes Car Crashes And for the fun part outside the classroom: Setting up the cabin (seats and steering wheel) Then, we get hands-on with: Emergency braking in a straight line at different speeds Dodging collisions at various speeds.
