Explore Queensland's iconic 1770 with a full day visiting the best sights in the area. Driving along the picturesque coastline, exploring buildings with historic importance and admiring the natural beauty of this region are all on the agenda for this 7-hour full day tour. Your day will begin in Bustard Bay; a beautiful beach that has remained changeless since James Cook sailed ashore over two centuries ago, before travelling across four tidal creeks to set up morning tea on the Northern tip of Middle Island. Morning tea is supplied by the tour company and includes fresh fruit and a range of homemade cakes and cookies.
The next stop on the agenda is crossing Jenny Lind Creek where you will then embark on a scenic journey aboard a four-wheel-drive along Bustard Headland on the way to the Bustard Head Light station. Providing 360 degree views and standing at a height of 16-metres Bustard Head Light Station is the only operating lighthouse open to the public to explore and the first coastal lighthouse in Queensland. Here you will hear stories of triumph and tragedy of the lives of the early settlers and light keepers - an interesting stop on the trip that is sure to be quite memorable. Heading back to Bustard Head via a scenic downhill drive, you'll enjoy a delicious lunch including sandwiches, cold drinks, tea and coffee while overlooking the Bay.
Don't think the day is over at lunch time, following your picnic you'll head back to Middle Island for an adventurous afternoon sand boarding down the dunes. Grab a board and take the leap down the 35-metre high sand dunes, you can pull up your ride on the sand flat or keep going to skim across the water. A great way to end the afternoon the Paradise Tour successfully incorporates the best of a full day tour; fun, adventure and sight seeing.
