What you can expect
When you kayak the Coorong National Park on this three hour tour, you’ll see it from a totally different perspective. Cruising through the exquisite saltwater lagoons and wetlands, you’ll see the very best of what South Australia has to offer.
Departing from Hindmarsh Island in the morning and following your expert guide for the day, you’ll experience three hours of kayaking, interspersed with walking across picturesque sand dunes and an adventurous bush tucker walk. Enjoy morning tea, a tasty lunch and afternoon tea to refuel your energy exactly when you need a pit stop. Expect to return with plenty of incredible photos and a feeling of accomplishment in the afternoon.

Time
- Your tour of Coorong National Park will commence at 9am and should finish at around 3pm.
Departure Location
- The Coorong Tour departs from the end of Mundoo Channel Drive on Hindmarsh Island (15 km from Goolwa) in South Australia. Goolwa is approx 85km from Adelaide. The closest Google map address is lot 99, Mundoo Channel Drive, Hindmarsh Island SA
What To Bring
- You’re welcome to bring a camera and binoculars – but make sure they don’t fall in the water!
- You will be kayaking and walking on this Coorong National Park tour - wear comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting a little wet!
Additional Information
- The tour is subject to weather conditions. If your experience provider cancels due to dangerous weather conditions including extreme fire risk days, they will reschedule your booking with you directly
- Bookings must have a minimum of 3 participants for the tour to run, or the equivalent of 3 adults is charged if wanting to go ahead with below minimum numbers. Participants will be given the choice to pay the extra, reschedule, or cancel if numbers are less than 3.
Terms And Conditions
- You will need to be able to swim
- You will need a reasonable level of fitness
- You will be required to sit in a kayak for an hour at a time
- No previous kayaking experience necessary – you will pick it up in no time!
Cancellation Policy
- Change your booking up to 7 days before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 7 days of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

What a great tour!
The tour was great! The guide Jeff was amazing, food was delicious and organic! It is not only a fun tour but also very informative. You will learn the history and geographic knowledge of the area, animals, the plants and the indigenous communities. We loved it and would like to do it again!
