our guide Paddy was amazing, and we were lucky enough to see lots of dolphins
Nice day but not well managed
We went on this tour Sunday 8th Dec. Had a lot of people booked in. Tour was supposed to start at 11am but didn''t get on the water until 11.30 and tour didn''t start until 11 40am. Tour was advertised as dolphins, mangroves and ships graveyard. Didn''t go near the ships graveyard. Lewis was pleasant and gave interesting info but quite hard to hear with such a big group. Perhaps guides could wear a small microphone. If big groups are booked in, get organised too much standing around. Tour was much shorter than advertised.
Grab your paddle and kayak into Adelaide’s very own dolphin sanctuary and International Bird Sanctuary. Kayak the calm waters of Garden Island with a local guide, follow a serene path that will take you down a 10,000 year old mangrove creek forest to spot a thriving wildlife habitat that gives life to migratory shore birds and marine life including wild dolphins. Kayakers may also have the opportunity to spot ancient shipwrecks that lay abandoned from a bygone era. Along the way learn about this unique ecosystem that is located so close to a capital city.
This 3-hour tour is in stable double kayaks and no prior kayaking experience is necessary. This must do Adelaide kayaking tour is best suited to outdoor adventurers and nature lovers alike. Don’t miss out!
