What you can expect
The excitement and tranquility of a hot air balloon ride is unbeatable, and the Mudgee region at sunrise is the perfect time and place to experience it. The Mudgee region is a popular weekend getaway destination, located just 3.5 hours north-west of Sydney and 4 hours west of Newcastle. It has everything from gourmet food to quaint towns, UNESCO World Heritage wilderness and wineries galore, and this hot air ballooning package lets you see and experience it all. Take off at first light and watch the sun rising over the horizon onto the valleys, mountains and lush rolling hills of Mudgee. You’ll have about 60 minutes soaring over the towns, vineyards and rich landscapes with spectacular panoramic views of it all. Once your experienced pilot floats you to a soft landing, you’ll be treated to a delicious breakfast at Gigi Restaurant.

Duration
- Please allow approximately four hours in total from check-in to breakfast. The flight itself is one hour in duration
- Meeting time is approximately 45 minutes before sunrise (depending on the time of year this can be any time from 4.00am to 6.30am)
Departure Location
- The meeting point for this experience is at Gigi Restaurant, 1 Sydney Rd, Mudgee NSW 2850. The supplier will email you a map and instructions on how to confirm your meeting time. Closer to your booking date, you will receive your official Balloon Aloft flight ticket via email. If you do not receive this, please contact Balloon Aloft on (02) 4990 9242.

- Two ticket options available: Flexi and Flight (non-refundable)
- Minimum age is seven years
- Maximum weight limit of 140kg per passenger
- Passengers need to be able to climb into the basket, and stand for the hour's flight
- Please any medical condition that may preclude you from flying such as serious knee, hip or back problems, recent surgeries or broken bones
- The supplier may not respond to booking requests received within 48 hours

Mudgee Ballooning
The Ballooning was fantastic but unfortunately was disappointed with breakfast. The original revenue was under renovations so another place was organised but instead of buffet champagne breakfast it was a choice of 3 -4 breakfast meals & coffee.
