What you can expect
Step aboard your very own electric picnic boat and become the captain for a one-hour self-drive adventure along the Brisbane River. With you in control, you decide your pace. All necessary safety equipment is provided, along with a quick demonstration to ensure you feel confident and ready to steer. You’ll also receive a map of the operational area and guidance on the best route to take. Start in the Newstead district, head east or west, and discover Brisbane’s landmarks from a whole new perspective.
Designed for comfort and fun, each boat features a picnic table and ample space for up to eight passengers. Bring your favourite snacks and drinks on board - and don’t forget your furry friend, as our boats are pet-friendly! Quiet, modern, and eco-friendly, these boats let you enjoy the river without engine noise or fumes, giving you the perfect opportunity to relax and soak in the scenery.
Float past iconic sites such as the Brisbane Powerhouse, New Farm Park, the Woolstore buildings, and the WWII Submarine base. With so much to see and the freedom to go at your own pace, this adventure truly brings the dream of being a boat captain to life.

Time
- This experience is available daily leaving hourly between 9am and 4pm
- Please arrive 15 minutes prior to departure
- Boats depart exactly at the scheduled time and return after 1 hour

- This experience is one hour in duration.

Terms And Conditions
- The nominated skipper must be at least 18 years of age
- Maximum legal capacity per boat is eight participants including children
- Photo ID must be provided, preferably of the individual who made the booking
- The skipper must maintain a 0.00 BAC
- Guests may consume up to two alcoholic beverages per person
- A security bond of $200 is required and will be taken as a pre-authorisation from a valid debit card and will be cancelled once the boat is returned without damage
- If you choose to use a credit card, the pre-authorisation amount will be $1
- It is not permitted to dock the boat at another location, it must remain on the water for the duration of their booking
- Fishing is not permitted
- A $20 surcharge applies on Weekends and Public Holidays
Cancellation Policy
- Change your booking up to 72 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 72 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at the time of booking
- Mobile vouchers are accepted
- For your information, complete tour operator details, including contact information, are provided on your tour voucher
- Availability was accurate at the time of booking; however, it is subject to change due to circumstances beyond our control

We loved our Go Boat experience and highly recommend it. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only downside was our captain had no jokes to share, but I suppose that’s on me for choosing my company! ,:D
