What you can expect
Experience the thrill of being the skipper on your very own three-hour self-drive journey along the stunning Brisbane River. Bring your friends and enjoy quality time together - no boating experience or license is required. You’ll receive a brief training session and demonstration to ensure you feel confident, along with a map of the operational area and guidance on the best route. Your adventure begins in Newstead, and from there, the river is yours to explore.
Relax on board with the picnic table, cupholders, and sun-protecting canopy. The boat comfortably fits up to eight passengers, and your furry friend is welcome too! Glide past iconic landmarks such as the Brisbane Powerhouse, New Farm Park, the Woolstore buildings, and the WWII Submarine base - three hours of freedom and fun on the water.
Perfect for a day out with friends or family, this experience lets you enjoy the excitement of commanding your own boat.

Time
- This experience is available daily leaving hourly between 9am and 4pm
- Please arrive 15 minutes prior to departure
- Boats depart exactly at the scheduled time and return after 3 hours

- This experience is three hours in duration.

Terms And Conditions
- The nominated skipper must be at least 18 years of age
- Maximum legal capacity per boat is eight participants including children
- Photo ID must be provided, preferably of the individual who made the booking
- The skipper must maintain a 0.00 BAC
- Guests may consume up to two alcoholic beverages per person
- A security bond of $200 is required and will be taken as a pre-authorisation from a valid debit card and will be cancelled once the boat is returned without damage
- If you choose to use a credit card, the pre-authorisation amount will be $1
- It is not permitted to dock the boat at another location, it must remain on the water for the duration of their booking
- Fishing is not permitted
- A $20 surcharge applies on Weekends and Public Holidays
Cancellation Policy
- Change your booking up to 72 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 72 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

- Confirmation in the form of a tour voucher will be received at the time of booking
- Mobile vouchers are accepted
- For your information, complete tour operator details, including contact information, are provided on your tour voucher
- Availability was accurate at the time of booking; however, it is subject to change due to circumstances beyond our control

We loved our Go Boat experience and highly recommend it. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only downside was our captain had no jokes to share, but I suppose that’s on me for choosing my company! ,:D
