Great tour! Thank you to our wonderful guide Lachy.

We learned a lot about the area and spotted many wild animals: whales, kangaroos, dolphins, koalas, and different species of birds. I also enjoyed the small size group and the mix of active and relaxing times.

A magical tour of North Stradbroke Island. You can tell they put a lot of thought and care into the way they operate.

A magical tour of North Stradbroke Island. You can tell they put a lot of thought and care into the way they operate. Antonin was kind, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and overall a great guide. The tour included plenty of opportunities to view wildlife, flexibility for us to venture off from the group during lunch and beach time. The water and sand at Cylinder Beach is beautiful, and warm. Peaceful at this time of year, not too crowded. In the end, we took some detours, on the way back to the ferry, to spots to view more koalas and kangaroos as we didn’t get to see many on the North Gorge walk. It’s clear Antonin strives to portray the importance of history of the island, its wildlife and respecting the flora and fauna. Would highly recommend, suitable for all ages. Wildlife seen: kookaburras, dolphins, sea turtles, manta ray, kangaroos, koalas, and more! Any animal lovers dream, Merci!

What you can expect

Adventure awaits off the coast of Brisbane with this full-day tour to North Stradbroke Island. Soak in stunning coastal views and idyllic beaches while enjoying plenty of opportunities for epic animal encounters! Offering a unique blend of pristine coastlines, glass-like lakes and majestic coastal gorges, there is plenty to see and do on the world's second-largest sand island. On this day trip, you'll be in the hands of passionate local guides who know almost every inch of the island.

You'll hit the North Gorge Walk, where you'll have to keep an eye out for dolphins, turtles, and humpback whales during the migration months of June to November. Catching them breaching the surface of the water is a truly unforgettable sight! Away from the water, look for Australia's emblematic kangaroos and koalas in their native habitats.

With everything but meals covered on this day trip, you'll be able to relax and enjoy it all with ease. With return ferries from Brisbane, complimentary evening drink, guided nature walks, and plenty of time to swim and relax, this is the perfect day out.

It was a wet and cloudy day but we had the best time!

There were many animals on this tour. We spotted Kangaroos, dolphins, turtles and koalas. It was so serene. The island is equipped with all things for ordinary life yet in parts, the island felt untouched and wildlife is everywhere. If you are looking for an authentic intimate experience this tour is it. Anto was very flexible, considerate, approachable and a good animal spotter :)
