Best water trip ever.
I went on this fantastic trip this week. We saw so many whales with their young ones, some coming alongside the boat to check us out and give a little wave. We were even lucky enough to have one breach right in front of the bow of the boat. Very exciting to see. Crew kept us all informed and provided some very interesting information on whales in general. Would recommend this trip to everyone. Also caters for disabled access which was great to see.
Bucket list success
Two us did the tour....there was a long time between when we were told to arrive and actually left.....that said...people were still making their way along the boardwalk long after they were told to be there. The boat was comfortable and around 3/4 full with a variety of travellers. Your seating is restricted to certain areas so book your seats carefully. Staff were attentive and helpful....sick bags were needed on the way out...take sea sick pills as per the instructions if you need them. Took a while to catch up to the whales but there were plenty of opportunities to see them when we got near. Fresh lunch was great and trip back to port was calm...... via a sea turtle playground..... all in all a great day out.
Set sail across Moreton Bay on a four-hour and 30-minute journey, aboard the luxurious 'Eye Spy' as you watch humpback whales swim by. A main deck window table is reserved for you, offering pristine views through its floor-to-ceiling glass windows. With this incredible front-row seat, you can sit back and enjoy watching the giants of the sea break through the water's surface right in front of you. Between June and mid-October, the bay becomes the stage for whale mothers and calves showing off their natural behaviours, including breaches, tail slaps and waves.
As the whales splash around the water outside, you receive a gourmet lunch container, packed with a selection of chicken, ham, salads, fruits and more to snack on. While you dine, you are accompanied by expert live commentary providing you with insights on whale behaviour, the local marine environment and the importance of ongoing whale research. By purchasing a ticket, you contribute to this cause because a part of the ticket fee will be donated to a small selection of whale research organisations.
