It is a good experience of a lifetime very fun and very good view up there and i have got lots of nice photos too. The lady who is our leader and instruction is professional and helpful

- The Story Bridge Adventure Climb Day Climb operates 7 days a week, making it one of Brisbane's most accessible and flexible adventure experiences. With multiple departures scheduled throughout the day, you can choose a climb time that best suits your itinerary, whether you're starting your morning with an adventure, exploring Brisbane in the afternoon or fitting the climb into a busy sightseeing schedule.
- Departure times vary throughout the year and may change seasonally or due to operational requirements. Advance bookings are highly recommended, particularly during weekends, school holidays and peak travel periods.
- If you can't find a departure time that suits your plans, please contact our friendly team on 1300 254 627. We'll do our best to accommodate your preferred time or recommend the next available departure so you don't miss one of the very best things to do in Brisbane.

- Your adventure begins at Howard Smith Wharves, located beneath the Story Bridge on the north side of the Brisbane River, next to Crystalbrook Vincent Hotel and Betty's Burgers.
- Getting here is easy:
- Parking: Paid parking is available at the Howard Smith Wharves car park, with additional street parking nearby (subject to availability).
- CityCat: Catch the 50-cent CityCat to Howard Smith Wharves Terminal, just a short walk from our Base.
- Train: Travel to Fortitude Valley Station or Brisbane Central Station, then enjoy a scenic 10–15 minute walk.
- Bus: Regular bus services operate to Brisbane City, with an easy walk to Howard Smith Wharves.
- Walk: Follow the beautiful Brisbane Riverwalk, which leads directly to Howard Smith Wharves and our Base.
- Our Base is conveniently located in one of Brisbane's most vibrant riverside precincts, making it the perfect place to enjoy a meal, drink or explore before or after your Story Bridge Adventure Climb.
What To Bring
- Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing that allows you to move freely.
- Fully enclosed, secure, rubber-soled shoes are compulsory. Comfortable walking or sports shoes are recommended.
- A Story Bridge Adventure Climb suit and all required safety equipment will be provided.
- Every climber receives a complimentary SBAC hat to wear during the climb and take home as a keepsake.
- Mobile phones, cameras, Meta smart glasses, smart watches and other personal belongings cannot be taken onto the bridge.
- Prescription glasses and sunglasses are permitted and will be securely attached before climbing.
- Essential medical items, such as asthma puffers, may be taken when required and will be safely secured by the team.
- Long hair may need to be tied back, and loose jewellery or accessories should be removed before climbing.
- Additional weather protection may be provided when required.
Additional Information
- You’ll share your Story Bridge Adventure Climb with a group of up to 14 climbers, led by an experienced Climb Leader who will guide, support and share stories with you throughout the experience. To create a comfortable experience on the bridge, each climb group departs approximately 15 minutes apart, allowing every group their own space to enjoy the views, storytelling and journey at a relaxed pace.
- Rain or shine, it’s a great time to climb! A little rain won’t stop the adventure! Climbs operate in most weather conditions, and we’ll provide rain jackets to help keep you comfortable along the way. In fact, climbing after a shower can be extra special – think dramatic Brisbane skies, fresh air and, if you’re lucky, a spectacular rainbow over the city. Climbs will only be cancelled in unsafe weather conditions, such as lightning, hailstorms or severe winds. If your climb is cancelled due to weather, our team will contact you directly to reschedule your experience.
- We want to make your climb experience as easy and enjoyable as possible. Access to our venue at Howard Smith Wharves is straightforward, and our friendly team is here to assist with individual accessibility needs wherever possible. As climbing involves heights, stairs and physical movement, accessibility may vary depending on individual requirements. For detailed accessibility information, including venue access and climb participation requirements, please visit our website or contact our team before booking.
Terms And Conditions
- Age: Climbers must be 6 years or older.
- Height: Climbers must be at least 110 cm tall.
- Children: Children aged 6–9 require one accompanying adult per child. Children aged 10–16 may climb at a ratio of one adult to three children.
- Prescription glasses and sunglasses are permitted and will be secured appropriately for the climb.
- Essential medical items, such as an asthma puffer, may be taken on the climb. Please advise your Climb Leader during preparation so the item can be safely secured.
- Fitness: Climbers need a general level of health and fitness and must be capable of climbing stairs independently and completing the experience safely in outdoor weather conditions
- Medical conditions: Guests must disclose relevant medical conditions, injuries or recent surgery before climbing. Certain heart, respiratory, neurological, balance, back, limb or joint conditions may require assessment or prior approval
- Climber Declaration: All participants must complete the Story Bridge Adventure Climb Declaration Form before their climb and provide accurate information regarding their health and suitability to participate
- Footwear: Fully enclosed, rubber-soled footwear is compulsory. Climbers are supplied with a fully enclosed climb suit, with additional weather-related accessories available as required.
- Personal belongings: Personal communication devices, including mobile phones, must be switched off within the check-in premises. SBAC may also inspect bags, backpacks and other containers entering the premises.
- Weather: Climbs operate rain or shine, subject to operational and safety requirements. Climbers should be prepared for outdoor conditions and follow their Climb Leader’s instructions at all times.
- Alcohol: Climbers must record a blood-alcohol level below 0.05%. Climbers are subject to a mandatory breathalyser test before climbing. Anyone who refuses the test will not be permitted to climb
- Weight: Climbers must weigh under 130 kg, due to safety equipment requirements.
- Pregnancy: Guests who are up to 20 weeks pregnant may participate at their own risk and must wear the required safety harness. Guests over 20 weeks pregnant cannot participate. SBAC recommends guests who are pregnant up to 20 weeks obtain a recent fitness certificate from their G
- No mobile phones are permitted on the climb.
- No cameras, GoPros or personal recording devices are permitted.
- No Meta smart glasses or other smart glasses are permitted on the climb
Cancellation Policy
- Tickets are non-refundable and are only valid for the booked climb
- Gift Certificates are non-refundable
- No refund will be provided in case of booking cancellation or no-show
- Requests to change a booking (subject to SBAC management approval) may only be made to the time or date of a Climb but not to the number or identity of Climbers. Administration fees apply as follows:
- Requests to change a booking up to 14 days before the climb date will incur a $50 fee per booking
- Requests to change a booking within 13 days to 72 hours will incur a $25 rescheduling fee per booked climber
- Requests to change a booking within 72hrs cannot be accommodated
- In the case of purchases bought through a Reseller, that Reseller will be responsible for any rescheduling administration, in accordance with SBAC’s rescheduling policies

I bought ticket with phito ticket together, but I didn''t get paper photo. I paid $40 but story brige member said they didn''t get money from website. And nobody charge this, even I don''t get any photos. They just sent photo files. I am very upset.
