Great FULL day out and the perfect gift!
This was such an epic FULL day out! we went with the bus pick-up from Gold Coast and we got picked up at 7am, taken to the port then caught the boat over to Tangalooma island resort. Everything was so well organised, you just needed to know where you had to be when and everything was done for you, the perfect Island day escape from the busy day-to-day. I bought this as a surprise for my partners birthday and he loved it! Totally unexpected. You arrive to the island just before lunch and you have a lunch credit, then you have a few hours to relax on the beach or explore the island before the quad bike adventure from 3pm. All the staff were lovely and very attentive making it a very smooth day. Then you had enough time to catch the sunset with a cocktail or beer before the dolphin feeding. You have full access to the resort for the day, even access to the day lounge where you can shower and change before heading back after the sunset dolphin feeding, then on the 7pm boat and getting back to your hotel on the GC around 10pm. It's definitely a full on day! I would pack some snacks, a change of clothes, your swimmers, a towel, sunscreen and inclosed shoes for the ATV. But definitely made some beautiful memories. Definitely would do again, even with a group of mates for an overnight stay, highly recommend!

A tropical resort, just an hour from Brisbane. The island is beautiful and the resort is well set up with great staff and a good choice of places to eat. If you're going for a day trip, definitely prebook activities. They are worth it. However, you can also just stay on the beach.
What you can expect
A tropical, adventurous day out awaits you on Moreton Island, with exclusive access to Tangalooma Island Resort facilities, a guided ATV quad bike tour and a wild dolphin feeding experience. Only a short ferry ride away from Brisbane, Moreton Island is home to the luxurious Tangalooma Island Resort and you get access to all its facilities. Whether you have a meal at the restaurant, a drink at the bar or relax by the pool, there are many options to choose from.
Get on a quad bike and chase your tour guide around the interactive course, driving on the beach and through the thick bushland. This 45-minute driving adventure is exhilarating and fun for any ages. Back at the resort, you can continue the action and hire water sport equipment. To finish off the day, head over to the shallow waters, where an Eco Ranger will prepare you for the wild dolphin feeding. A family of friendly dolphins appears just around dusk and you get the chance to feed fish by hand.
