What you can expect
Trade dry land for open water and set out on a whale watching cruise that packs adventure and awe into one epic Broome sunset. Hop aboard Orcaella, our purpose-built catamaran, and head out into the open water for a Broome sunset cruise with a difference. In the middle of the humpback migration highway with around 35,000 whales. Watch them breach, tail-slap and cruise past in all their raw, unfiltered glory. You’ve got uninterrupted views from every deck, space to move, and a seasoned crew who know this stretch of coast like the back of their hand.
This approximately five hour cruise isn’t just a sightseeing trip, it’s an ocean encounter. Listen in on whale song through the hydrophone, take a dip in the boom net (if conditions allow), and graze on cheese platters with a drink in hand while the sky puts on its sunset show. We’ll pick you up and drop you off, and keep the good vibes flowing with straight-up commentary and local insight from our friendly crew. - For self-drive guests, park at the Broome Racecourse (504 Gantheaume Point Rd, Minyirr) and walk down onto Gantheaume Beach to check-in with the crew before boarding
What To Bring
- Once aboard guests are required to remove footwear. Wear slip on shoes or thongs
- Pack a light jumper for these cooler months
- If swimming, bring your own towel

- This experience requires a minimum of 12 guests and a maximum 40 guests to operate
- Booking are essential
- Charter companies in Broome do not have access to the Broome Jetty, Beach boarding is only available
- There is no wheelchair access
- Guests opting for BYO, pack your drinks in a cooler bag, we will chill and serve your beverages on board. No red wine permitted on this cruise bottled spirits or homemade drinks permitted
- Cancellations due to weather or low numbers may result in rescheduling
- The operator may cancel with minimal notice due to unforeseen weather
- Weather-related cancellations within 48 hours of departure are non-refundable
