What you can expect
Grab a paddle and set out for an exciting sea kayaking adventure around Byron Bay. For about 2.5 hours a local guide will take you paddling around Australia's most easterly point where you'll be on the lookout for dolphins, turtles and even humpback whales during whale season.
Before taking your kayaks out onto the water, you'll have a brief kayak lesson on the beach to get you ready. This Byron Bay kayaking tour is owned and operated by local Surf Life Savers and you knowledgeable guide will tell you all about the local history and wildlife of as you explore the clear blue waters of Cape Marine Bay.
On your way back to shore you'll enjoy an exciting lesson on how to surf your kayak in on a wave so you can finish off your adventure with an extra thrill.

Time
- Tours are daily, all year round at 9:30 am and 2 pm
- Please arrive 25 minutes prior to departure
Duration
- This experience is approximately 2-2.5 hours on the water, plus a 15 minute briefing beforehand
Departure Location
- Tours depart from Cape Byron Marine Park. Meet at the trailer opposite 56 Lawson St, Byron Bay.
What To Bring
- Swimmers, cap, sunglasses
- No shoes required
- Sunscreen is provided
- A water bottle (preferably not single-use plastic) is able to fit in the rear pocket of your lifejacket and you are welcome to bring this along

- Not recommended for people with chronic lower back injuries

Had a really fun experience with this, staff energy and knowledge was fantastic made everyone feel comfortable, made sure we all had fun only downsides was we booked this specific tour because they stated they took pictures of you in the package, me and my friend had 0 pictures of us taken which we was super disappointed about, great experience with no pictures to remember it by.
