What an experience fabulous staff and spectacular sunrise views over the Byron hinterland topped off with a great breakfast at The Farm at Byron worth every minute of sleep I missed for the early start Highly recommend
Soaring high
I booked the sunrise hot air balloon experience from Scotland, it was straight forward enough. It was a surprise late Christmas present for my partner. On the day of our arrival the reception was very well organised, we were split into 2 groups after a safety briefing got on the bus to our flight destination. Weather conditions were perfect, not too much waiting around for the balloons to be offloaded. Watching the process of inflating the balloon was very interesting. We were all 20 passengers strategically placed in the very comfortable basket which felt perfectly safe. Gas propulsion to get us off the ground and periodically to keep us in the air was the only thing which disturbed the perfect peace of the journey. It was so peaceful and smooth. We didn’t feel like we were actually moving. There was constant communication between our navigator and ground staff Pictures taken throughout by a go pro which were sent to us free of charge, It was a fantastic experience, one I would be keen to repeat. After our perfectly smooth landing we all helped to pack the balloon away before heading back to the farm for our breakfast. It was delicious, as was the accompanying coffee. We were so well looked after by all staff on the day. Thank you so much from the Scottish group.

Your hot air balloon flight will take off from The Farm Byron Bay just in time for a sunrise ride over the landscape. Hop into the basket and feel your heart racing as you take off into the sky and float over the rolling hills on the hinterland. You’ll have spectacular panoramic views of the ocean, the lush hinterland, and the iconic counterculture meccas of Nimbin, Bangalo, Mullumbimby and Lismore.
After a 45-60 minute sunrise balloon flight your experienced pilot will bring you to a graceful landing, and while you’re riding the post-flight high you’ll be treated to breakfast at the iconic Three Blue Ducks Restaurant at The Farm Byron Bay. Whether you’re looking to celebrate a special occasion or add a bit of adventure to your everyday, hot air ballooning Byron Bay is the excitement you need.

Terms And Conditions
- By noting your agreement and completing this booking, you are confirming that no member of your booking party has: significant knee, hip, neck or back injury or issue or any other existing conditions that would prevent them from following the pilots instructions including climbing into the balloon using the footholds cut into the side of the basket, assuming the landing positions with knees bent when instructed to do so, absorbing a small bump when the balloon is landing or would prevent them from holding on to the safety handles when the balloon is landing.
- Had surgeries or broken bones within the past 3 months, or are currently under doctors supervision regarding surgery or injury, regardless of when surgery or injury occurred
- The inability to stand for one hour unassisted.
- Minimum age is seven years
- Maximum weight is 140kg per passenger
- Not suitable for pregnant woman

- Flexi Ticket: This can be rescheduled to another date in the event of a weather cancellation

This hot air balloon experience was amazing! The pilot Brennan was amazing and all the staff were welcoming and vibrant. We were so lucky and had the most beautiful weather that morning, the sunrise was gorgeous and the view from the balloon was breathtaking. Breakfast afterwards at the Farm was lovely. Would recommend this experience a million times over!
