What you can expect
Round up your family and learn to master the Byron Bay waves together with this private family surf lesson. For 1.5 hours, your family (two adults and up two kids) will enjoy the sand, sun and surf as you're coached by a highly trained instructor. Whether you're all beginners, experienced surfers, or a bit of everything, your private lesson will be tailored to suit your different abilities.
Run by National Women's Director of Surfing Australia and champion surfer Brenda Miley, you're in good hands with this surf school. All the surf coaches are highly skilled and trained in First Aid, and all your surf boards, wetsuits and rash vests will be provided. All you need to do is show up and get excited about taking on the waves and having fun with the family.
This experience is part of our Low-Footprint Adventures range because it is ECO certified by Ecotourism Australia.

Terms And Conditions
- Minimum age is seven years
- Surf lessons take place in all weather and surf conditions providing it is safe
- If the surf is too big, or the conditions unsafe, your lesson will be rescheduled
Cancellation Policy
- Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
