Snorkel Cook Island, an incredible sanctuary for Turtles, Mantas, Eagle rays, harmless Leopard sharks, thousands of fish, dolphins and even Humpback whales in winter!

"Joong-urra-narrian", the local Minyungbal name for this incredible place, offers protected safe and shallow waters perfect for snorkelling and freediving. Cook Island is an incredible sanctuary for not only Turtles, but Mantas, Eagle rays, Leopard sharks ,thousands of fish, dolphins and even Humpback whales in winter! Our on-board Marine biologist will guide you to the best spots to see marine life. We provide a high-quality mask, set of fins and a wetsuit. The tour begins along the Tweed River, we often encounter sea birds, local dolphins and other marine life on the way to the island. Humpback whales are a daily sight from June to November. AFTER BOOKING You will receive a confirmation email detailing where to go, what to bring and it will also include a liability waiver. It is mandatory that you complete this liability waiver for all participants BEFORE you arrive. If conditions change we will notify you of any rescheduling by email and SMS.

  • Our tour departs from the Public Jetty at 1A Minjungbal Dr, Tweed Heads South NSW 2486, Australia
  • just 5 minutes from Coolangatta and the Gold Coast airport. Theres plenty of parking close to the jetty.
  • The jetty is in the riverside park across the road from the Fire station

  • Must be 7-70 years of age
  • Must be of reasonable fitness
  • Must be able to swim 200 metres
  • No one over 70 or below 7 years of age
  • No one over 110kg in weight
  • Maximum of 8 passengers
  • Not suitable for wheelchairs. Must be able to climb in and out of the water via a ladder
