What you can expect
Departing Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal, enjoy a magical day on Fitzroy Island with return ferry transfers whisking you away to a tropical island paradise. After a short 55 minute ride in a comfortable air-conditioned catamaran, anchor at Fitzroy Island to spend up to six hours as you please.
Boasting a dynamic landscape of lush rainforest, granite outcrops, open woodlands, coral beaches and shallow coral reefs to snorkel – you can choose your own Fitzroy Island adventure. Head to the beach activity centre to hire snorkelling gear, kayaks, stand up paddle boards and more to discover the aquatic paradise and abundant marine life found nestled amongst the coral.
On land, you’ll have plenty of time to embark on a self-guided rainforest walk, soak up the sunrays on peaceful, uncrowded coral beaches or head to the restaurant and bar for a delightful meal and cocktail overlooking the glistening, crystal clear waters. Regardless of how you choose to spend the day, you’ll be pleased that you visited one of Queensland’s best islands within the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.

- This experience departs from at 10:00am and arrives at Fitzroy Island at approximately 11:00am. Departs Fitzroy Island at 5:00pm and arrives in Cairns at 6:00pm.

- This ticket is for ferry only
- Snorkel equipment hire can be prebooked directly with the operator
- Please note throughout the month of May if selecting lunch at checkout a Picnic Lunch will be provided. Please advise any dietary requirements at time of booking
- Check-in & collection of boarding passes must be completed 8:30am -9:30am at the Sunlover Cruises desk inside the Reef Fleet Terminal at Cairns Marina. (Located corner of Spence St & Pier Point Road)
- Please note that due to increased fuel costs, a surcharge of $4 per adult and $2 per child is payable on the day of your tour. Infant tickets are not subject to a fuel surcharge.
Cancellation Policy
- Change your booking up to 24 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 24 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Incorrect booking via adrenaline: stress & delays
The booking adrenaline made with company was incorrect - I transferred a gift from jumping out of a plane , to a trip to Fitzroy Island for three adults and two children. I requested 1 x adult ticket, and 1 x family ticket (2 adults & 2 kids). When we arrived at terminal with email confirmation. They only had a booking from adrenaline for two people. The agent involved tried phoning adrenaline multiple times with no answer. We were all able to board after going through all email communication and provided costs.
