What you can expect
Take your diving to the next level on a two-day SSI Advanced Open Water Diver course at Moore Reef on the Great Barrier Reef. Complete six dives across five specialties, including the mandatory Deep Diving and Navigation training dives, then choose three elective specialties to tailor the experience to your interests. Build new skills, gain confidence and explore more of the reef, under the guidance of an SSI instructor.
All equipment is provided, so you can focus on experiencing the reef from a whole new perspective. Push your limits, refine your technique and dive deeper as you work towards certification to 30 metres. A buffet lunch is included each day, with comprehensive briefings before every dive. Receive your SSI Advanced Open Water Diver certification via the SSI app on completion. Each specialty dive also counts towards future SSI specialty certifications.
Open Water certification or equivalent is required. Minimum age is 12 years.

What To Bring
- Existing Open Water Diver certification card (SSI or equivalent) — physical or digital
- Swimwear (worn under the wetsuit/stinger suit provided)
- Reef-safe sunscreen
- Photo ID
- A smartphone or laptop to complete the SSI digital learning before day 1
Terms And Conditions
- Minimum age is 12 years old
- All divers must complete the RSTC Diver Medical Questionnaire
- A "yes" answer requires a doctor-signed Physician's Evaluation before travel
- An existing Open Water Diver certification (SSI or equivalent) is required to participate
- Proof of Open Water Diver certification must be provided on the day of the course
- Participants must complete the required online orientation for the Deep Diving and Navigation specialties prior
- The online orientation is completed independently before the course
- No classroom-based theory sessions are included
Cancellation Policy
- Change your booking up to 7 days before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 7 days of your experience
- Late arrivals or no-shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
