Wonderful trip Highly recommend!!! The crew was very pleasant and we were well looked after I'm a coeliac and there were a few GF options, would have liked a few more, but in the end of the day I came there to snorkel and not to eat. The reef itself was way better than I thought and my kids absolutely loved it too!!! Check it out, you won't regret it!
Honestly, it was one of the best trips!
I recently did a reef cruise that took us out to Moore Reef and then over to Fitzroy Island for lunch — and honestly, it was one of the best trips! Everything was really well-organised, boarding was smooth, and the crew was super friendly and welcoming. The boat itself was clean, spacious, and comfortable, which made the ride out really relaxing. Once we got to Moore Reef, we anchored at a large pontoon where the real fun began. Snorkeling was amazing — the water was clear, the reef was full of fish, friendly turtle, and beautiful corals. I also did a dive and it was very well guided, thanks to Vance master diver. They also had an underwater viewing area and a slide into the ocean, which added a fun. After all the water activities, we headed to Fitzroy Island where lunch was waiting. It was a great spot to chill out and the food was surprisingly good — fresh, tasty, and plenty of options. The island itself is beautiful, so it was nice to just relax on the beach for a bit before heading back. I highly recommend for anyone wanting a fun, and easy way to experience the Great Barrier Reef!
Set off from Cairns and cruise in comfort aboard an air-conditioned catamaran to the Moore Reef Pontoon, located on the Outer Great Barrier Reef. This floating playground is packed with fun, you can snorkel the vibrant coral gardens, slide down the 30-metre spiral waterslide, and spot marine life from the glass-bottom boat. You will have 2.5 hrs to explore the reef your own way.
Next up is the natural paradise of Fitzroy Island, where a delicious buffet lunch awaits you. After the meal, it's time to stroll across the island's dreamy beaches and rainforest-covered hills at your own pace. Whether you're after adventure or relaxation, this tour delivers the best of both worlds in one unforgettable day.

Overall highly recommend
Great day out at Moore Reef and Fitzroy Island. Boat that took us to the reef was comfortable and spacious. Staff very friendly. Pantoon was great, with glass bottom boat and semi submarine tours available as part of the deal plus optional paid for extra excursions. The reef was amazing , plenty of fish . Unfortunately we didn't come across any turtles but just unlucky. We even saw a small reef shark . After couple of hours snorkelling we went to Fitzroy Island for lunch and some chilling time . Overall highly recommend
