What you can expect

Tropical North Queensland’s Rainforestation Nature Park is an award-winning destination where you can experience Indigenous culture, Australian wildlife, and the beauty of a World Heritage-listed rainforest—all in one place. The park offers three main attractions: **Army Duck Rainforest Tours**, the **Pamagirri Aboriginal Experience**, and the **Koala and Wildlife Park**.

Army Duck Rainforest Tours take you on a unique journey through the tropical rainforest in a World War II amphibious vehicle. As you explore the lush landscape, you’ll encounter local flora and fauna, before splashing into the lake for a relaxing water cruise. Keep an eye out for wildlife like turtles, fish, and eels as you glide along the water.

The Pamagirri Aboriginal Experience provides an interactive cultural adventure, where you’ll learn about Aboriginal traditions through traditional dance performances, a Dreamtime Walk, and the chance to try throwing a boomerang or watching spear-throwing and didgeridoo playing. You can also purchase authentic Aboriginal art and souvenirs at the cultural centre.

In the Koala and Wildlife Park, get up close to iconic Australian animals like crocodiles, wombats, dingoes, snakes, and cassowaries. You can hand-feed kangaroos and wallabies, and for an extra cost, even cuddle a koala or hold a small crocodile for a photo.

Rainforestation Nature Park is open daily from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with various tours and presentations throughout the day. To enjoy all the activities, it’s recommended to arrive before noon, as the experience takes about three hours to complete. Don’t miss this opportunity to explore the best of Tropical North Queensland with a Rainforestation Nature Park pass!
