What you can expect
Take to the skies for an incredible hot air ballooning adventure flying over Canberra in this sunrise flight. Hot air balloon flights are a unique thrill that you need to experience for yourself, and this is the perfect place to do it. Your adventure begins in the early hours of the morning with a briefing from your pilot before you head to the launch site. If you're up for it, you can help prepare the hot air balloon for the flight and enjoy a hands-on aspect of your experience.
Once you've lifted off, your journey will depend on the wind direction. Soar over Canberra city and lake and enjoy amazing views of the Canberra skyline, suburbs, parklands and countryside as the sun rises over the city. The hot air balloon ride will last for around one hour as you float in the wind and take in the spectacular views as you sweep over the landscape.
After gently touching down again a hot air ballooning flight certificate is distributed to all passengers, rounding off an exhilarating adventure. Cheers to your experience with a glass of sparkling wine (or juice for the kids) while you're still buzzing from your thrilling hot air balloon flight.

What To Bring
- Outdoor clothing - long sleeve top and pants to suit the temperature on the morning of your flight is recommended
- It is typically warmer rather than colder up in the balloon, so it helps to have a layer you can take off
- Sturdy shoes – no high heels
- Hat or cap is recommended
- Cameras and videos are welcome but please keep onboard items to a minimum
Terms And Conditions
- Participants must be able to stand for the duration of the flight (about one hour) and bend their knees slightly for landing
- Not suitable for those that are pregnant, wheelchair users or recovering from recent surgery
- Minimum age is six years
- Children 6 to 12 years must weigh less than 45kg and must be accompanied by an adult
- The flight path is subject to change without notice with the decision being made by the pilot with the safety of the guests in mind
- The flight time can slightly alter on the day, should the weather conditions hinder the safety of the balloon flight
Cancellation Policy
- Change your booking up to 7 days before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 7 days of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
