Geelong Hot Air Balloon Flight
The experience was great and memorable but would have been just that little bit better had we been able to fly over Geelong - Understand that we were at the mercy of the weather so little else could be done.
What you can expect
Ballooning near Victoria’s second biggest city Geelong, offers a stunning blend of coastal and rural landscapes. From above, passengers can take in rolling green hills, vibrant farmland, the winding Barwon River, and the sweeping coastline of Port Phillip Bay. On clear mornings, the view stretches to the You Yangs and even across to the ocean.
Flights launch from a variety of locations depending on the wind - sometimes from within Geelong itself, or from nearby spots like Murgheboluc, Bannockburn, or across the Bellarine Peninsula. Every launch point offers a different yet equally breathtaking perspective of the region.
Balloon flights in this area operate year-round, weather permitting, although the high season with greatest flight availability is November through to March. It’s a chance to discover one of Victoria’s most diverse and picturesque regions in a way few others have.

Duration
- Please allow 3-4 hours for this experience
- Flight time is approximately 60 minutes, depending on wind and weather conditions on the day
- Meeting times may be as early as 04:15am in summer and as late as 06:30pm in Winter
- Flight times may vary due to weather and the time of year the flight is taken. Please await confirmation from the supplier prior to your flight as to what the actual flight time will be

What To Bring
- Practical outdoor clothes
- Appropriate enclosed footwear - the fields could be wet
- Bring a change of shoes and socks if necessary
- Bring a cap or a hat to protect your head from the heat of the burners
- Don't wear your best clothes, you might get a little dirty on packing the balloon away
Additional Information
- Changes are allowed. Company needs to be notified of changes, including passenger names and body weight.
- Minimum of 8 passengers per flight.
- Weather plays an important role in balloon flights. The pilot has the ultimate decision on the morning of the flight and cancellations are for your safety or to comply with regulations. Reasons to cancel are normally strong winds, rain or low visibility conditions.
- Passengers need to be able to climb in and out of the basket with little assistance. At present, the company is not equipped to carry disabled persons.
- The supplier will confirm the time of the flight the night before.
Terms And Conditions
- Children under the age of six are not permitted
- Children between the ages of six and up to, including, the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult
- Passengers need to be able to climb in and out of the basket with little assistance
- You will not be allowed to participate if you have been scuba diving in the previous 24 hours
- Carriage of pregnant women are not permitted to fly
- At present, the company is not equipped to carry disabled persons
- The provider recommends that passengers arrange their own insurance provisions in case of unforeseen circumstances including being unable to fly due to illness
- This is not a private experience - there will be others in the hot air balloon with you
- The supplier will confirm the time of the flight the night before
- Participant weight range goes up to 130 kg. exceeding this limit will require contacting the operator for further advice.
Cancellation Policy
- Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Pieceful but beautiful flight
A great experience, very pieceful but beautiful flight. I enjoyed helping with the balloon at the start & end of the flight. We had great weather and the flight was perfect.
