The photos for this experience are very misleading. For this particular experience you can expect to get acquainted with scuba gear followed by a short dive session. By ''Scuba dive with snorkelling'' the provider means you will accompany a group of snorkelers attending for a differing adventure, but provided at the same time. You can opt to snorkel if you feel uncomfortable scuba diving, so there is the advantage that you can swap - however if you choose to scuba for your entire session you will not have time to snorkel. While booking keep this in mind. It''s not a negative as such, as an alternative experience is available - it''s just not clearly detailed on Adrenaline. I''m unsure why it is listed that you will receive a certificate. Before you begin your scuba session you need to pass a short quiz (otherwise you cannot dive) that states in clear terms you will NOT receive a certificate. This information needs to be updated. The staff are friendly and accommodating. I brought my younger sister with me and she wasn''t confident enough to continue the experience - the staff comforted her of which I was very appreciative. Summary: Friendly and professional staff, photos on this page misleading of the experience to expect, no certificate to receive, however still an experience to enjoy.
What you can expect
Now’s the time to see the Gold Coast from a whole new angle. The theme parks are a lot of fun – but you’ll see a whole new side under the sea! Perfect for those new to scuba, or those looking to brush up their scuba skills, this experience takes you out to the wonderful waters of the GC’s Wave Break Island – a paradise of marine life.
Your day kicks off as you jump aboard your boat for the day at the iconic Marina Mirage. From here, you’ll jet towards the island as you’re briefed on the need-to-knows of scuba. It’s in the shallow waters that you’ll test your scuba skills first-hand, all under the watchful eye of your instructor, before heading off on your guided underwater Safari. And, yes, you’ll close your day with a certificate for your efforts. Once your dive is wrapped, you can relax on board the boat and soak up some rays or jump back into the drink to explore by snorkel.

- Please note, that there will be other participants in this group experience on the day

- A GoPro can be hired at an additional cost to capture those memories
Duration
- Please allow 4 hours for the whole experience
Departure Location
- Tours depart once daily between 7.30am - 2.00pm from 19 Karloo Street, Surfers Paradise QLD. Times vary depending on the day and the tides, you will be required to contact the tour operator prior to your day of travel to reconfirm your tour time and hotel pick up time (tour operator contact details are included on your tour voucher)
- Pickup is available from selected hotels within the Gold Coast CBD only

- Participants can’t fly on the same day – please note this for your itinerary

- Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no-shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
