What you can expect
Departing from Main Beach on the Gold Coast, you’ll take a short boat ride to the beautiful and secluded Wave Break Island. There you’ll be guided to a quiet, sheltered spot perfect for comfortable snorkelling, with depths ranging from 0 to 15 meters. Relax on the beach or float on boogie boards with view holes to see below the waves in between your snorkelling adventures.
Share the water with hundreds of fish native to the area – Wave Break Island must be one of the most populated in terms of fish in the whole of Australia! Many fish school in their hundreds, creating an incredible experience for you and some picture-perfect mementos you can take home. Your guides and crew will show you the best places for underwater photography, and you’ll get the chance to hand feed the fish – don’t worry, they’re friendly!

- Pickup is available from selected hotels within the Gold Coast CBD only
- Tours depart daily between 7.30am - 2.00pm from 19 Karloo Street, Surfers Paradise QLD. Times vary depending on the day and the tides, you will be required to contact the tour operator prior to your day of travel to reconfirm your tour time and hotel pick up time (tour operator contact details are included on your tour voucher)

Bad time management
Good once we got there but it was very late leaving. A lot of waiting around. I didn't realise that there was diving instruction before the boat departed. Lots of small fish at the island but was disappointed that we didn't see any dolphins or other sea creatures but that's not the fault of the tour operator, just bad luck despite the perfect weather. Next time I will pick a snorkelling only tour.
