Discover everything that the Great Southern Lakes of Fraser Island have to offer on this three day self-guided hiking expedition. For three days and two nights, you'll explore six perched freshwater lakes, including Lake Boomanjin, Lake Birrabeen and Lake McKenzie. Enjoy countless swimming spots and camp under the stars. Fraser Island is the largest sand island in the world and an incredible destination for your hiking adventure. You'll cover about 20km in total over the three days, and be set up with all the maps, itinerary, and instructions you need for your self-guided exploration. Tackle the diverse landscapes along the Great Southern Lakes section of the Fraser Island Great Walk, visiting six perched freshwater lakes: Lake Boomanjin, Lake Benaroon, Lake Birrabeen, Basin Lake and Lake McKenzie.
