Really enjoyable.

Good clear directions and information from friendly guides Mia and Paul. A lovely experience which would suit most reasonably fit persons. Just enough commentary to keep it interesting and informative and not get in the way of some good lengths of paddling. Rest breaks were timely and made sure no-one was feeling like they were dragging the team down.

What you can expect

It’s the ultimate way to explore the spectacular coastline of Coles Bay, beneath the Hazards range. Glide along the water and enjoy the unique perspective provided by sea kayaking. You’ll pass quietly by wildlife and maybe even see a majestic eagle as it soars above. This is a beautiful part of the world, and our expert guides will share stories about its natural features and cultural events.

Learn about the ancient culture of the Oyster Bay tribe, hear tales of French explorers, and discover the history of secluded coves such as Honeymoon Bay. As you glide over seagrass beds and reefs, you’ll enjoy a spectacular view of an underwater world through the crystal-clear waters of the Freycinet Peninsula. Your experience will start with safety tips and a demonstration of sea kayak paddling technique. It won’t take long to master the paddling skills and head out on onto the water in a stable double kayak. Your journey will also take you onto a pristine beach where you will enjoy a tea of fresh brewed coffee and cake before continuing the journey around Coles Bay.

Lovely morning of kayaking

Jules and Hannah were fantastic. They were very careful to look after us, and made the morning all the more enjoyable with their knowledge of the area and their chatty nature. We loved every minute of it. Thanks Jules and Hannah.
