Thanks Dan for giving me an amazing bushland horse riding tour. I was very lucky to have Dave, a handsome-looking award-winning horse to be my companion 🐎 The tour was relaxed and cheerful. Thanks Dan for sharing stories of how horses are being looked after at Hunter Valley Horses. Now I learnt that horses are just like human, they need good food and a good break to keep them happy and healthy :) Hunter Valley Horses seem to manage that quite well.
What you can expect
Take a break from the wineries and get out in the open with this horse riding tour. Whilst riding along trails through bushland in a single file, admire the vast expanses of green blend into farmland, with the stunning mountains in the backdrop. Each person in the group will be paired with a horse that fits their physique, and with an experienced instructor and easy trails, this tour is perfect for first timers right through to experienced riders. The ride is set at a walking pace.

Departure Location
- This tour operates from the grounds of The Hunter Valley Resort, which is located on the intersection of Hermitage Road and Mistletoe Lane, Pokolbin
- When you enter off Hermitage Rd please continue straight ahead down the road following the signs to The Farm, past the tennis court
- The tour departs from The Adventure Centre shed
What To Bring
- Long pants and enclosed shoes are advised for your own comfort
- Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and any other sun protective gear you need

- This adventure is a walking pace, single file ride that can suit beginners
