What you can expect
Escape the concrete jungle and immerse yourself in total peace and tranquillity with a half-day canoe hire paddling along the Nitmiluk Gorge. Start the day with a scenic boat ride to the first gorge where you’ll be led down to the water banks to pick up your paddle and canoe.
Gently cruise along the serene waters and take your time exploring the imposing limestone rock formations that make up the incredible Nitmiluk Gorge up close. The day is yours to spend as you please with free time to relax on the shady banks of the gorge or go for a refreshing dip in secluded swimming holes. Those who are feeling adventurous are welcome to continue paddling further to explore the second gorge.

- Typically operates between June to November annually only.
Time
- This experience is approximately 4.5 hours in duration
- Available seven days per week
- AM experience: 8am-12:30pm
- PM experience: 1pm-5:30pm
- All guests are asked to be at the jetty 30 minutes prior to departure

What To Bring
- It is recommended to bring a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, drinking water, snacks, suitable enclosed footwear and dry bags.
Terms And Conditions
- Children under the age of 5 years (inclusive) are not permitted to canoe due to safety regulations
- Children 6-12 years (inclusive) must be accompanied by an adult
- A high fitness level is required
- This tour is not suitable for guests with mobility issues
- Please wear appropriate footwear and be aware of your surroundings all the time
- Portages will vary in difficulty depending on river levels
Cancellation Policy
- Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no-shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
