An awesome bucket list item with a difference.
I never thought flying from Melbourne to Hong Kong, Tokyo & New York was possible in one day. With the help of my flying instructor, I did it in one hour! Not only was my instructor very knowledgeable, he was a lot of fun?he even saved me and my passengers from a certain, disastrous landing in Hong Kong. I would recommend this experience to anyone looking for bucket list item with a difference.

What you can expect
This is no game! Our high tech simulators utilise the latest technology to fool your senses into believing you are captaining a jet airliner. Flight Experience is similar to the flight simulators that airlines use to train their commercial pilots, and its 100% authentic replica cockpit delivers a total immersion virtual reality environment.
Strap into the captain’s seat, plant your feet on the rudder pedals and clamp the thrust levers and control column... You’ve had a full briefing from your instructor and you’re ready to fly the plane!
After clearance from Air Traffic Control, you advance the throttles and your Boeing 737 hurtles down the runway and lifts off, climbing to 2000ft before banking into a 45° turn away from the airport.
Forget sightseeing; you need to manage your air speed, maintain your altitude and watch your heading whilst simultaneously monitoring a dazzling array of screens and indicators.
Your destination awaits you, and whether you’ve chosen your local airport, an international hub airport or a white-knuckle approach (like Hong Kong's Kai Tak or Paro's short, 17,000ft peak-surrounded runway) you must keep a cool head to apply your new aviator skills to nail your landing.

Terms And Conditions
- Minimum age is 10 years old
- You do not need any level of fitness or experience to fly a simulator
- This package can be tailored to suit the level of knowledge and experience you have
- You can also bring up to two extra people to join you as passengers on your flight at no additional charge
Cancellation Policy
- Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Didn't quite meet the expectations I had
Booking was for 9:30am....eventually got into the cockpit at 9:50am. This was due to whoever closed the simulator down the night before hadn't done it correctly, or at all. We were unfortunately on a tight time frame which meant my experience was now cut short by 20 minutes. I found the actual controls of the aircraft quite difficult, especially steering the aircraft on the ground. The pilot was very knowledgeable and explained the controls very well. Although I did find that he was taking control of the aircraft a bit more than I thought he would. Overall I am glad I have done it and the simulator and scenery are very well done. Would I do it again? Probably not. It is ticked off my bucket list and to be honest it didn't really have the "wow" factor that I was expecting.
