What you can expect
Melbourne is the kind of city you could spend days in – exploring and taking in the federation buildings along with the newly-built icons. So, why not bypass the traffic and explore Melbourne by kayak? This is the perfect way to see all of the city’s iconic sights without the hassle of city streets.
You’ll kick off your day with a safety briefing and a lesson in paddling, before you jump aboard and head downriver under the Princes Bridge towards the city centre.
Your guide will share with you the city’s history and all the need-to-knows as you cruise the Yarra River. You’ll glide past Flinders Station and right to the must-see Polly Woodside Tallship, before you find yourself in hip Docklands and cruise through towards Crown Casino and South Bank. You’ll finish your paddle back at Boathouse Drive and find your way onto dry land.

Departure Location
- The City Sights Tour starts and finishes at Boathouse Drive next to Princes Bridge directly across the Yarra River from Federation Square. It is a 5 minute stroll to Flinders Train Station and multiple tram stops.

- Tours operate with a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 18 participants
- Suitable for first time kayakers
- Intermediate fitness required
- Each kayak can accommodate medium sized bags
- Lifejackets have a small zip pocket that can hold a phone or small camera
- Tours will continue in wet weather provided the guides feel it is safe

- No kayaking experience necessary for this tour; the experienced guides will be on hand to help at all times
- Minimum age is 6 years old Due to kayak specifications the following limits apply:
- Height: 6’ 5”/195cm
- Weight: 275lbs/125kg
- Hips: 49”/125cm
Cancellation Policy
- Change your booking up to 24 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 24 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
