This Advanced Driver Training Course is an extension of the Defensive Driver Course Level 1, this course is designed for drivers who wish to take their driving skills to the next level.

The Defensive Driving Level 2 Course (also known as the Advanced Car Control course) gives you the opportunity to learn life saving vehicle handling skills in a safe and non threatening environment.

This carefully put together course is run by defensive driving instructors (some with 20 years' experience) and offers more hands-on driving time than any other comparable driving course in Australia. This course requires concentration and commitment right up to the last minute - and best of all it’s great fun!

Course includes:

An in depth analysis of the physical skills; seating, steering, vision, braking, accelerating, use of transmission * Advanced vehicle dynamics theory * Practical advanced vehicle dynamics * Emergency braking for both ABS and non ABS * Emergency corner braking * Evasive lane changes * Slalom All driving exercises in this course are conducted on wet roads using 100% recycled water.

You must have completed a Level 1 Defensive Driving Course prior to attending the Level 2 Advanced Driving Course.

Operating Hours

Please make sure and allow plenty travel time, late arrivals will be refused entry and will forfeit the course. Please be there no later than 8am. This experience starts at 8:15am and runs roughly to 4pm.

Hotel Pickup

There is no transport provided for this experience as you need to provide your own car.

What To Bring

Your current driver’s licence
Your vehicle with a full tank of fuel, optimal tyre pressures, water and oil levels. You must supply your own car for this experience.
Wear comfortable casual clothing according to the weather
Wear footwear that has a thin sole eg. joggers
Bulky shoes, high heels or climbing boots are not optimal driving shoes
It is a good idea to bring along a hat, sunscreen and the Aerogard if it is hot, or an umbrella if it’s raining
Lunch & drinks
Do not bring family or friends as spectators are not permitted

Additional Information

You must provide your own vehicle and hold a current driver’s license (a provisional license is okay) which must be brought on the day of your experience
Not suitable if pregnant
Level 1 Defensive Driving Course is a prerequisite
You will be required to sign an indemnity form prior to participating in the practical component of the course

Changes are not permitted within 7 days of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
