Explore Phillip Island on a small group tour from Melbourne Enjoy a 6.8km hike around Phillip Island’s highest point Cape Woolamai See native wildlife at Moonlit Sanctuary and Phillip Island Nature Park
Explore Phillip Island on foot and visit native animals at two of Victoria’s best nature and wildlife parks on this small group day tour from Melbourne. There’s a good reason this is such a popular destination, so it’s worth experiencing it for yourself. Hit the road in the early morning with a group of maximum eight guests and sit back as you make the two hour journey down to Phillip Island. First stop is at the pristine beach that’s any surfer’s dream, Cape Woolamai. Get active and get your blood pumping with an easy-to-moderate 6.8km hike around Cape Woolamai, where your guide will lead you through rugged rock formations known as the Pinnacles and up to the highest point of Phillip Island. Soak up amazing views over the Bass Strait and the crashing waves below. Next you’ll stop into Cowes for lunch at a local cafe, then head to The Nobbies for a stroll along the boardwalk. Breathe the salty sea air and take in panoramic views of the coastline, including the active spraying of a powerful blowhole. This is where Australia’s largest colonies of seals, little penguins and silver gulls all reside, and you might also spot wallabies, kangaroos and more, so keep your eyes peeled for wildlife! On your way home you’ll stop in at Moonlit Sanctuary, where you can get up close and personal with native Australian animals like emus, dingoes, koalas, echidnas, wombats and plenty more. It’s an action-packed day of hiking, sightseeing and adventure that will have you buzzing long after it’s over.
