Dirty Down Under!
The Britannia cave was so cool to explore, with a mixture of crawling through tight crevices, climbing over boulders and crossing cool water streams. As a first time spelunker, this was relatively easy to climb and crawl through, but we got incredibly filthy throughout, as expected. Paul was a great guide, and our group was small and intimate but we much preferred this way, as we didn’t need to wait long for everyone to catch up. All in all, a great experience - I think we’re ready for the Labertouche caves now!
Best adventure to date! I would highly recommend!
Excellent experience. Would not recommend to anyone who is claustrophobic or afraid of getting wet and muddy! If these things don’t bother you - highly recommend giving this experience a go. It was so much fun and a great way to try something new.
Get out and underground for an exciting caving adventure just outside of Melbourne at the Britannia Caves at Yarra Junction. On your two hour guided tour you'll go underground to climb and crawl around the caves, wade through subterranean rivers, and marvel at sights like glow worms.
Follow your guide into the unique granite boulder cave, geared up with a torch and safety equipment as you explore the pitch black. Manoeuvre your way around huge granite boulders jumbled on top of each other, wade through subterranean rivers, crawl through some tight spaces, scramble and slide over rocks and climb over chasms in this underground world. You'll explore some tight spaces and hidden caverns, so prepare to get wet and muddy as you make the most of this caving adventure. It can be quite physical, but the adventure is worth it. Plus this is an opportunity to see a unique eco-system of glow worms, cave crickets and fungi along the way.

Adventure with a capital "A"
Never knew you could do something like this so close to Melbourne. The guides were great, helped people who weren't quite up to it. Make sure you are physically fit. No better introduction to caving.
