Whether you're contemplating getting you pilot licence or just want to experience first hand what it’s like to pilot a light aircraft around the skies of Melbourne, this flying lesson is the perfect adventure. Your experience begins with a 20 minute pre-flight briefing where all of the flight instruments and controls of the aircraft will be explained to you, so that once you get into the cockpit you will have a basic understanding of what is happening around you. During this time you will also have the opportunity to ask any questions about the flight or the aircraft.

With the ground formalities out of the way it’s on to the pre-flight inspection of your aircraft. The pilot will spend around 5 to 10 minutes with you checking over all the basics such as fuel, oil, control surfaces, tyres, propeller, etc. Now it’s time to strap yourself in, start up and taxi down to the runway. Depending on the conditions on the day your instructor may actually let you take off, if not they will hand over the controls to you and let you fly once the aircraft is airborne and underway. Your instructor will take over at various times to demonstrate different things to you but for the most part you will be flying the aircraft. Soak up the incredible aerial views while you enjoy the thrill of flying a plane yourself.
