What you can expect

This Phillip Island Sea Kayaking adventure is for people who want to get away from it all! Your experience begins with a short discussion on the format for the day including lunch break, distance expected to paddle and weather conditions. You are then kitted up with a PFD, spray deck, paddle jacket, thermals and a paddle before the all important Kayak safety briefing including a dry capsize drill. Most sea kayaks are double sea kayaks with a couple of single kayaks available for the more experienced paddlers in the group. You'll then set out on the adventure paddling as one group, with knowledgable commentary on environmental features and local history. Sights you'll see along the way include sea caves, dolphins, seals, sea eagles, commorants, fish, boat wrecks, historical buildings, marinas and yachts. Lunch and drinks are prepared for all participants about half way through the trip. Then you'll return to the start, gear is packed away and you can change into some warm clothes. This adventure takes place between September to May, and is the perfect way to see picturesque Phillip Island. Warning - kayaking is seriously addictive!
