What you can expect
Make the most of the winter season with a trip to the snowy wonderland around Mount Buller. You'll be picked up from Melbourne in the early morning, and you can spend the day skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing, or just exploring and having fun in the snow. There are plenty of guided and solo activities to enjoy before you're taken back to Melbourne in the evening.
If you want to hit the slopes, you can go with your guide to the equipment and clothing hire store, and get excited about some action-packed skiing or snowboarding. Beginners can book in for a lesson to help get started and everyone can take on the snowy slopes at their own pace.
For those who don't want to ski or snowboard, there are heaps of other exciting snow day activities to look forward to. You can enjoy some thrilling fun in the snow at the Village Toboggan and Snowplay Park, soak up amazing views of the snow-covered alpines on a guided walk around the one-hour village circuit track, and take off on a breathtaking ride across Mt Buller's slopes on the Northside Express chairlift (additional $43). Itinerary
- Upon arrival at the Horse Hill car park, the guide will escort skiers, snowboarders, and beginners to the equipment and clothing hire store. Afterwards, the guide will continue with guests who prefer sightseeing rather than skiing
- Enjoy an optional breathtaking ride on the Northside Express chairlift (additional $20), offering panoramic views across Mt Buller’s slopes
- The tour then visits the Horse Hill Toboggan & Snowplay Park, where you can enjoy tobogganing and playing in the snow
- Explore the charming Swiss-style Mt Buller Village, with time to enjoy lunch at one of the many restaurants and cafés (own expense)
- Optional one-hour walk along the Village Circuit Track, featuring stunning views of the surrounding snow-covered alpine landscape
