Head out on this exciting adventure cruise from Queenscliff in search of Australian fur seals and burrunan dolphins. Your tour usually starts with a snorkel at Popes Eye, in the stunning shallow waters of the Port Phillip Heads Marine National Park. It’s home to lots of colourful fish and the perfect spot to snorkel in search of marine life.

Then it’s time to continue the journey and go to Chinaman’s Hat, which is home to 30-40 Australian Fur Seals! The adventure tour doesn’t stop there. Dolphins are next on the agenda, and thankfully they’re usually quite close. Throughout this fun tour the friendly crew will share information about your beautiful surroundings and the diverse range of wildlife that lives there. Please remember, while sightings of these wild animals are very likely this can never be guaranteed.

We proudly partner with Southern Ocean Environmental Link (SOEL) to deliver educational sessions for schools and community groups. A portion of every ticket sold contributes directly to supporting their initiatives. SOEL’s programs focus on sustainable practices, including plastic recycling, microplastic assessments of local beaches, and the use of Harbour Filters to remove rubbish and pollutants from stormwater runoff, helping to keep our waterways clean.

Time

Morning tours depart at 8:30 am and return at 12pm, and afternoon tours depart at 1:30pm and return at approximately 5pm. Dolphin Swim Season is from October to May each year. All tours depart from the Queenscliff Boat Harbour, approximately a 1.5 hour drive from Melbourne

Duration

Please allow half a day for this experience, with 3.5 hours in the water

The meeting point is at Shop 3, Building 6, Queenscliff Boat Harbour, Queenscliff (near the bus stop and behind the hairdresser Ivy)

What To Bring

Please bring your bathers/swimmers, towel, wind jacket (if windy), sunglasses, sun hat and your cameras. Sunscreen will be provided

Dolphins and seals are wild animals in their own habitat. Although every effort is made, sightings every time cannot be guaranteed

Please note, this experience is seasonal, operating from October to the end of May
Environmental Levy - $5 from each tour is donated to www.soel.org.au to help fund marine research efforts in the local area.
All tours are subject to weather conditions - unsafe wind/sea conditions may result in the cancellation of the tour. Participants will be notified as soon as that decision is made.
Please note that rainy or overcast conditions are not unsafe, and in most circumstances are the ideal conditions for viewing wildlife or hitting up the waves.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations of any booking less than 48hrs prior to departure will be charged full fare.
Cancellations of group bookings less than 5 days prior to departure will be charged 50% of full fare.
