URBNSURF Melbourne is Australia’s first surf park and the perfect place to dip your toes in and learn to surf in a safe, supportive environment.
Powered by state-of-the-art wave technology, the lagoon delivers consistent, gentle whitewater waves - giving beginners the opportunity to catch 10–12 waves during a 90 minute Lesson. That means more time standing up, building confidence and feeling the thrill of your first ride.
Led by expert coaches, you’ll learn the fundamentals of surfing step-by-step, from paddling and positioning to popping up and riding your first wave.
Your 90 minute Beginner Lesson includes softboard and wetsuit hire, plus an all-day spectator pass so you can relax and enjoy the park’s amenities, including hot tubs, change rooms, lockers and landscaped areas, as well as onsite dining at Three Blue Ducks.

Additional Information
- This experience is one hour and 30 minutes in duration
- First time visitors must arrive at the Surf Academy 10 minutes prior to the scheduled start time
- Spectator passes are required for non-participants
Terms And Conditions
- Children must be over six years of age
- Children aged 6-10 must have a Parent/Guardian in the water within arms reach, at all times and a complimentary Parent/Guardian ticket will be allocated for each child ticket (Parent/Guardian ticket is for supervision only and does not allow the parent/guardian to participate in the lesson, this can be purchased separately)
- Participants must sign a waiver declaring they are medically and physically fit to undertake a surfing experience
Cancellation Policy
- Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no-shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
