The flight instructor was very patient and understanding with the 13 year-old pilot. The simulator is understandably complex, however the instructor was able to focus on the important things to assist the pilot. The 13 year old pilot is now considering a career in aviation!

What you can expect

Hop into the pilot's seat of a Boeing 737-800 during this exciting flight simulator experience in Newcastle. Guided by a experienced pilot, you'll manage your airspeed and altitude with instruments and controls.

On arrival, you'll meet your First Officer who will take you through your pre-flight briefing. You'll be briefed on the primary controls, instruments and procedures necessary to be ready for take-off then after permission from Air Traffic Control, you will accelerate the plane down the runway and take-off.

Whilst in the air you will have to monitor your instruments and controls as well as go through the same check-lists as an actual flight. Coming into land you will approach your chosen destination, possibly in varying conitions, and concentrate as you manoeuvre into position, to correctly approach the runway and complete a safe landing.

We are located at 173 Pacific Hwy CHARLESTOWN NSW (Entry in Ridley St).
We invite young pilots from the age of 6 and over for our Flight Experiences.
Due to the confined space, and the unusual way that the pilot’s seat moves into position, we have to have a weight limit of 130 kg.
This experience is not affected by weather.
This voucher is valid for one person. You will be on-on-one with the pilot.
You can bring up to 4 "passengers" along to watch.
One person flying per session unless stated otherwise.
Do not need a flying experience. We will show you how to control the aircraft, and guide you through the procedures real pilots go though in their flying.

Great 15th birthday present

My son enjoys playing online flight games so this was the perfect gift for his 15th birthday. He successfully ‘flew’ from Wellington to Queenstown NZ. A great idea for anyone with an interest in the goings on in a cockpit 😊
