Amazing
What an amazing adventure we had . Setting out in Newcastle Harbour, to try and find some whales. Wasn't long before we spotted a few spouts of water, and there they were. We followed a breaching whale for a few minutes, until it dived. Then off to spot 2 adults near the beach. They provided us with plenty of photos and the whole boat was in awe of their greatness and how playful they were. Would I recommend this adventure.... absolutely. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, ready to answer any and all questions.

One of the most wonderful experiences I’ve ever done. We were lucky enough to have a whale swim right up to the boat & have a little play with us. Amazing!!!!!
What you can expect
Set out on an exciting ocean adventure tour from Newcastle, looking out for the thousands of humpbacks whales on their annual migration. For two hours, take in the amazing views of the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie coastline as you observe the whales, and keep an eye out for playful dolphins and seals as well.
Make the most of whale season with this cruise off the coast of the coast of Newcastle. Departing from Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club - 95 Hannell Street, Wickham, you'll head offshore in search of the abundant population of migrating humpback whales. Soak up the scenery while listening to insightful commentary about the whales, other marine mammals, and the history of the port, the city, local geology and Aboriginal heritage.

- If whales are not spotted on a designated whale watch tour between the months of May to November, each passenger will be entitled to a ‘standby ticket’ enabling them to return on another subsequent tour date, this ticket is subject to availability and must be used within the same whale watching season
- Not suitable for children aged under three years.
- Not recommended for travellers with back or heart problems, who are pregnant or who have other serious medical conditions
Cancellation Policy
- Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
- Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
- Late arrivals or no-shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Newcastle Whale Watching June2023
Had on our list for while and the day did not disappoint - saw many whales and dolphins in a comfortable boat. The skipper (jane) was excellent and knowledgeable. Would recomend in a heart beat bot Adrenaline and CoastXP Cheers Steve and Kim
